It be interesting the coincudinks of the universe sometimes. On the night I mention this, Beck ruins this with something. But I still think the point needs to be made.

I do not know if anyone has ever noticed (maybe it is just insane me) but the Elections are gradually getting more and more important since 2004. The stakes are getting higher and higher and the consequences are getting much greater from year to year and election to election.

But I think, well as for me, we need to divorce ourselves from the system, and our expectations. And I have been doing this myself lately in leading up to the blog, though not because of the blog.

Elections are just stop gaps now, that is all, that is it.

Sure the best we can hope for is we will elect a super hyper majority of doom and rejuvenation and can say hallalleu of Republicans and Libertarians and heal the nation and than we can go back to real concerns like sex, sports, and food.

But that just ain’t realistic gang.

What is the most realistic outcome is this will buy us time.

Because we can always count on the Republicans, various Republicans…must plug that now…, to just continue to grow the Government and to ruin our lives.

But for whatever reason, this is the hope, that the Republicans are still for much smaller Government then your ‘typical’ Democrat. And they grow it much more slowly then that of the Democrats.

So again this is to partially buy us time.

Because some of them will be for big Government, and some of the people we have coming in will be enthralled and mind controlled by the power elite.

The John McCain’s and Trent Lott types of the world.

Yes my friends…you are getting very sleepy.

What we need though is time.

I mean have you noticed Obama? We must get Health Care done, now, we must get our taxes in, now, we need immigration reform, now, we must fundamentally transform America…tomorrow.

Because he knows he is on the clock. Part of this is because he does not trust the Republicans, even though many of them will be for the same things he is for, and the same things just different and in their own unique way.

And no, I am sorry, I do not see a mass swelling of Libertarians instantly healing the sick and wounded and rising the body politic of this nation out of the grave.

So, what we need is time.

Whether it is a Libertarian, whether it is a Republican, whether it is an Independent or a Conservative, or even a “true” Democrat, not the progressives who have hijacked that party, we need time. And yes there really are progressives in all parties but not in as great a number.

Time to heal the nations own wounds ourselves and reform ourselves and our nation back to the way it should be.

Elections are not the key.

We are.

From the ground up.

In time elections will follow, in time elections will come, in time elections will again be effective and meaningful…I mean they are now.

But in time our Government will follow because our culture will follow.

And then we will not need this Big Government to do these things.

Remember, we get the Government we deserve.

It has come to me while I have been thinking about various blogs that and things that were coming up and I came to the conclusion before I did my next blog I needed to do this one.

I have been pondering about Government, about the role of Government, and what role that they play. But mainly about the disconnect.

There is a big disconnect between Liberals and Conservatives, Socialists and Libertarians, yadda yadda versus oh my gosh.

The disconnect seems to be over precisely what the definition of Tyranny is.

Liberals and Progressives, those more on the left, are of the political opinion that the Government can do things for you. Can be there for you, can provide things for you and stuff and provide you with a living and to be there in case you should fail, or to actually benefit you.

Libertarians generally think that Government cannot do this for you, or at least should not.

It all comes down to a definition of tyranny and just what we think is a big intrusive Government.

Most people think of Tyranny in terms of red hatted, black booted pistol wielding tyrants.

They think of tyranny in terms of people being thrown into gas chambers, held without trial, or have dogs and fire hoses being turned on them. They think of tyranny in mass graves and firing squads directed because you are a political prisoner, or a different religion, sex, creed, or orientation.

But what it comes down to the Libertarian, and many Conservatives is what political philosophers have said from our founders all the way up to the modern-day.

From Ronald Regan:

“When Government Expands, Liberty Contracts.”

“The Nine Most Dangerous words in the English Language are I am from the Government and I am here to help.”

To Thomas Jefferson:

‎”I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. “

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned – this is the sum of good government. “

“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.”

To Ben Franklin:

“Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

To John Adams:

“A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

And I am sure I can find many thousands of others.

That is the essence of tyranny. That is the essence of a radical Government. That is the essence of slavery.

It has occurred to me over and over again something about Government.

Imagine if Jesus, or Gandhi, or Martin Luther King, or God, or John Sheridan ;), was in charge of our Government.

Someone who knows exactly how much everyone needs, that can fairly ‘give’ one persons things to another so it is all fair and balances.

Someone who is Godlike, who is so angelic that they can do anything correctly.

But they are human. They will decay, and in our Government systems force people out eventually.

The quote by Jefferson is the key. The key to all of this.

You see what will happen if someone else gets all that power? A Hitler a Mao or a Stalin? A Government that is big enough to do anything for you, can do anything to you.

I mean the difference is between someone like Jesus, and someone like Hitler. If Jesus did it, it would not be tyranny, Hitler, can use it for any purpose that he wants to put it to.

People see the obvious signs and pictures of Tyranny. The dogs and the gas chambers.

But they do not see the hidden things. The encroachments of our rights on page 432 of a bill. After all we are getting free education! Free health care!

We are being provided for.

In that situation you cannot provide for yourself. You have traded your freedom for your own personal security.

Before we begin let me start with a summary of the events of the last couple of weeks:

There has been a major ecological disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.  The stock market had an interesting hiccup to where it lost, and then regained, a thousand points in one day.  There have been riots in the country of Greece over their economic crisis.  The House was considering whether or not to pass a resolution that would make Puerto Rico a State  And in NY a terror plot was stopped and the person responsible was apprehended.

And then Senator Lieberman has, apparently, proposed a bill that will make it so your rights can be void under the suspicion that you are a terrorist.

America, we are in some deep crap.  We are in some serious trouble.  Anyone who reads these blogs I hope can know it, can feel it, there is something wrong.  Liberal, Conservative, Libertarian, progressive…well at least the grass-roots kind.  We can all sense that there is something wrong, that Conservatives and Libertarians know…and the readership of this blog…know that there is something wrong, but the rest can just feel it.

The only thing that is different is the ideology, is exactly who is wrong, the eviillll George Bush or the eviiillll Banks or the evviiill Government.

I think if you have read this blog you know where I stand on who to blame, primarily, for most of our Nation’s ills.

And no it’s not just about Obama.

I propose that we have two big problems facing this country right in the here and now.

One is a massive growth in Government, and the ideology that only the Government can take care of you.

Such a massive growth of Government that not even some of the members inside the system can fully understand what is going on.  Wait, that was in the bill?  Well I did not know that.

The second problem is that no one is following their own rules and laws.

This has happened over and over again.

In the Gulf spill BP was given breaks by both the Bush and the Obama administration that led to the spill in the first place.  And then were not allowed to clean up the problem because they did not have the proper equipment in place.

Equipment that a law in 1994 the Government said the Government must use in order to fix this type of problem.

A fire boom to light the oil spill on fire.

They did not have it.

They will hide, and lie, and cheat, and fund the things only they deem to be important.  Though we do need to have serious budget reform.

And no wonder certain members of the rich, certain companies, and certain CEOs go and give money to the government.  Because they know that if you scratch my back I will scratch yours is running rampant.  Both parties do it, politicians from both parties do it.  No wonder we got too big to fail.

Which is another law that we seem to be gleefully violating.

If you are special, you got money, connections, you then can get special compensations.  From the Government.  Or your companies will be taken over and vilified when you do something wrong, regardless of it being your fault or not.

And then, and then, the Government is now removing their rights under the suspicion that you are a terrorist, so you do not have to extend someones Miranda rights, and your rights under the Constitution.

Now first is Mission Creep.  We already know what this Government calls terrorists and considers to be dangerous…tea parties…that’s what.  So if this law gets enacted, and they suspect because of the ‘violent rhetoric’ that is going on that all the tea parties can be held, without charge.  That is an extreme example.

Oh and there was an article of the New York times that says that Congress was wondering what to do with suspected terrorists with guns.

First of all if they are not here in this country legally, or are an enemy combatant then yeah…they should not have guns, and the threat should be neutralised.

But being an American citizen does come with certain privileges and responsibilities.  Certain rights, which while I wish the rest of the world recognized, they do not.

One is due process, and the other is the right to bear arms.  And the principal that is most under threat here is innocent until proven guilty.

I do not care what you are, as long as you are an American Citizen we cannot touch you, unless you got your citizenship under false pretenses.

Or until you are PROVEN to be guilty.  Whether this turns out to be false or not, or the Senate can say, eh we were just kidding, don’t mind us, or this is not what they mean, the mere suggestion of it should send shivers racing down your spine.

We must engage in equal justice under the law, not social justice.

Not, you have money we will take care of you, thanks for your generous campaign contribution.

Not, oh you are down on your luck so we will provide things for you and take from those evil people who are rich, keep you down, and remove your tonsils.

Not different rules for blacks, whites, mexicans, immigrants, men, and women.  That everyone is subject to the rule of law.

We are a Nation of Laws and not of Men.  We have seen the damage that can be done if we become a Nation of men.

Well I tried to get through most of the bill, but it just wound up being a bunch of  legalese, and started to repeat itself towards the end of it.

This issue is so important to where I believe this country is heading as a nation and as a people.  It really is the pinnacle issue of all that is going on, and it proves a prediction that I made on this very blog.  Arizona is the crossroads for this entire debate.

But to set this up, I think a video by ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis:

I will get to that later.

But first, my thoughts on the bill.

People have been saying that it is fascist, it is racists, it sets up racial profiling, that it is unfair to the illegals and Hispanics who help build this country despite the lazy white guy.

I have not found any of this to be true in the least, from my reading of the bill.

It does not mention fascism or socialism or extreme government control of their lives, nor does it mention that people can be dragged away from their homes and their cars on the mere suspicion that you are here illegally, or that you look ‘illegal’.

In fact what it does mention is that the state has to go to the Federal Government in order to ensure that someone is here illegally.

And if someone hires and illegal they will face extreme punishment.

One of the biggest complaints that I have read, and read this morning before I started this, is that citizens will now have to prove that they are here in the country legally, and they have to prove that they are here legally.

That this violates one of our most sacred principles, innocent until proven guilty.  And that just because you do not have an ID that is not sufficient evidence to prove that you are here illegally.

This is blatantly false.  The police, and local agencies, still have to go through the steps of whether or not you are here legally or not.  They might be able to take you in the mean time, but it is still an issue of the courts, and the federal government and their databases to prove your immigration status.

That you need some form of ID, but in case you do not have it that is not an automatic assumption of your guilt.  Whether you are Latin American or anything else.

Perhaps the biggest concern about the bill is racial profiling.  Also again a false concern to me for the most part.  Governor Jan Brewer has, since signing the law, signed an executive order making sure that the police know how not to racially profile, and has signed another bill too much the same effect.  To make it crystal clear that the original bill, which does not racial profile, does not racial profile.

But lets play along with the potential abuse of the law.

A good dear friend of mine claimed that if there is any potential abuse under this law then that makes the law bad, immoral, illegal and should not be done.

I sympathise with him, I am a libertarian, any government intrusion, coercion, and abuse is a very bad thing.

But let us run with it, potential abuse under the law.

In this country we have a Second Amendment that gives Citizens the right to Bear arms.  The right to defend themselves using firepower, guns, back in the day muskets.

Now this is a fundamental principle that can be open to buckets of abuse.

Someone who has a gun, takes it, is drunk, angry, or is just having a bad day can take it, and murder their spouse who they just had a fight with.

Whose at fault?  The fundamental principle or the guy who fired the weapon?

I put forth that it is the guy who fired the weapon.  The guy based on other fundamental principles of our government, will be jailed, punished, or executed for his heinous crimes.

Much the same with happen in this law.  If an individual exceeds his authority and profiles racially, in any way, he will be punished by this very law that says that is a no-no.

And if the law itself is Unconstitutional I will trust in the courts to deal with it.

There is also a huge amount of hypocrisy about the whole thing.

You need an ID to vote, to drive a car, to get employment, a house, to have an alcoholic beverage, to visit other countries, and to re-enter this country when you are done.

So why not to determine your status if you are here illegally?  To determine who you are and what your intentions may be?

Also back during the health care debate people said read the bill, read the bill, you should read the bill.  And yet, now, the people who do not read the bill say its going to be fascist.

We are being set up gang.

In the clip by Bertha Lewis she claims that the evil…..tea partiers in that specific case..are out to get you.

And it will surpass the era of McCarthy, that it will surpass the camps in WW II, and it will surpass Jim Crow.

Now anyone with any amount of logic will tell you that is crazy.  Only Governments can do those things to you.

But the clip reveals quite an important part of her psyche and the psyche of Big Government people.  Any growth of Government on the right is Fascist, that they are using the European model, the Progressive model.

That this will happen when and if the white and the tea party members and the right ever come into power again, that they will grow the Government and come after the Left Wing Socialists and Communists and everyone else who is different from them.

Enter in SB 1070.

A bill passed by a Republican, and thus maybe a Conservative…thus is the popular perception in Republicans versus Democrats.  A person that could be supported by the tea parties, again the perception, a white person.

A bill that is supposedly fascist and will allow for racial profiling.  A bill that will allow people to be rounded up in the streets for just looking illegal.

And then they will be put into the Concentration Camps of  local sheriffs.

This is what is being said about the bill.

And none of it is true.

Nevermind that the bill and the subsequent legislation outlaws racial profiling.  Never mind that we have the right to defend ourselves and our borders, never mind that we need ID to do almost everything else in our society.

A piece of our society that can be abused easily as I have bought up in the past, but I digress.

Nevermind that this bill is supported by upwards 60% of the American People, including a majority of African and Hispanic Americans.

Nevermind that most people, apparently, do not care if there is a theoretical civil rights violation under this bill.  committed by an individual will be in violation of several laws.

But none of that matters.  Its meant to set up a false premise.

Fascists on the Right, Socialists on the Left.  That you cannot go to the right, they are fascists, sure we may be enslaving you and creating massive government programs, but at least we will not kill you.  After all they will just do the same things we are doing, and besides they are a bunch of racists that will not accept you because you are different.

That it leaves those in the middle apathetic, unwilling  to engage, or go to the other side.

All this is meant to do is an attempt to rile up their base, not to mention bash, debase and vilify anyone not subscribing to the progressive socialist utopia.

And any opposition to this socialist nirvana must be squashed,  as one sign said at the May Day Rallies, by any means necessary.

Use truth as your anvil and non violence as your hammer.     And anything that does not stand the test when it is brought to the anvil of truth and hammered with non-violence, REJECT IT.

Gandhi.

That quote by Gandhi summarizes what I think is needed to take the country back and to win.

Our anvil, much like our Constitution, has had layers and layers built upon it.

Layers of lies, corruption, untruths.  Layers of shouting at one another.  Layers of labels and facts and so much information out there that we really do not know what to spend.  Layers of, in a lot of cases, that really do not matter.  Like labels.

All of these things are keeping us from our understanding of the truth, are keeping us from clearly seeing the truth, there is just so much junk in the way that are obscuring things until sometimes you just feel like screaming.

Or committing acts of brazen violence to ‘fix’ the problem.

That is not what we have to do though, we need non violence.  Of the heart of the mind of the deed and of the action.  I know it is hard.

But, we must not hate the other side no matter what they do to us, just have a constant drum beat, a constant hammering against them, and a constant ability to say that we will stand.  That we are here and we are not going away.

No matter what they do to us.

No matter what they do to us we must hammer away.  We must chip away from all the crap, all the crud, and all the mud on the anvil of truth and on our Constitution.  And the more they complain, and the more they try to stop us, the louder and furious will be our hammering in response.

Until we get to the truth.

“Oh I am going to decrease the deficits this year and their will be no new spending”

Bang.

“Oh the people should be thanking me for all the good that I have been doing”

Bang.

“Oh we are going to get serious on immigration reform.”

Bang.

“Oh this is just astro turf and not really legitimate”

BANG.

We must prove them wrong constantly in the arena of public opinion, or gang, we will lose.  We must make them force the issue and clearly and articulately discuss issues based on freedom, small government, and liberty.

Because the debate is, I believe, two-fold.

To divide and conquer.

And to make it so anyone in the middle that would think about joining us, would not because of our perception.

Oh we cannot go to these racist tea baggers, just look at them they are fascist and evil, why look they support the Arizona Immigration Law.

BANG!!!

They hate blacks, Mexicans, progressives and anyone who is different than them.

Bang.

Their only way is violence and they will kill or drive out anyone who is different. (Ed. note: How many tea party members have been arrested for violence as opposed to the anti illegal immigration riots, or for that matter property damage.)

Bang.

Of course they are ecstatic when any Conservative threatens to leave or actually does leave their states or the country….but I digress.

Only with the banging of the hammer and the swinging away of the hammer (and probably some good disinfectant too) can we clear off the anvil of truth, restore it again to its previous form and place of honor, and then with a restored Constitution can we restore the promise of America between her Government and her people.

And if we do not initiate, do not engage in the violent behavior the conservatives are constantly accused of, they will expose themselves.  The Mask will come off and they will take the power once and for all for all the country to see.  And then we have them.

Let violence not be our way, and let us make it clear that anyone who chooses to engage in violence to ‘defend’ in liberty is not on our side but is a threat to our liberty and our very national fabric.

And if there is to be mass violence against us then let it be by a power mad and a power-hungry government who is on its last legs of desperation.

That we have exposed them and this is their last-ditch effort.

Not saying that this will inherently happen but that if it does happen I would much rather the forces of Big Government to be the ones to do it then the forces of liberty.

Because the American People, those still not engaged, and many of those who are, will reject violence.

If we use it we discredit ourselves and our movement, even from the very allies that we will be fighting for and should be fighting with!

And that is the last thing we need is to have a divided front.

We must be strong and we must stand, as one, no matter what they do to us and no matter what the cost.

We all have to be 10, 50, 100 times the people we are now, and go way above and beyond the call of duty because such extraordinary sacrifice have not been asked for its service in a long time.  Except for perhaps by the Military, and not the common citizen.  From all stripes and all walks of life.

Far gone is the time when the average American citizen can sit on the sideline, disengaged, and lament that he or she does not have time, the problem is too big, or how can my one voice matter. If you think like this and do nothing, I fear the country is already lost.

Ed. Note (If you are over 40 you can remember a time when the system worked as intended, although the erosion had begun. If under 40 talk to someone that is to learn what we have lost. The current erosion of freedom and our way of life is much more important to you under 40’s. It is your future that is being stolen, your future being buried under a mountain of debt, that your grandchildren will be paying for.)

Which is why I am announcing my first quasi contest for this blog post.

For all you people out there that are You-tubers, Beck fans, or can watch his show to find this out.

I want a video made.  A video made of just the sound that he makes every time he whacks the anvil of truth with the hammer of non violence.

It can be with clips, or just blank, I do not especially care.  Clips can be of modern politicians, past philosophers, heroes, or great men, news clippings, anything that can do with the anvil of truth, or things that really need some hammering.

Post any questions or the video themselves to the comments section, I will choose the best one at the end of the month.  Well try my best lol.

I do hope to see them.

I can blog about many things, and I am not sure on which topic I should be blogging about.  I could do taxes, blargh, or the disparity between federal and private employees, ugh.

But again the issue that comes to mind is immigration.

Now, I have blogged about this recently, but I think there is something that needs to be bought to light.

I live in Arizona, and many around the country have heard of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Here in the local news, a couple of weeks ago, a local Latino advocate or Politician was advocating that Maricopa County should be taken over by the federal government.

Well this really disturbed my Constitutionalist/federalist/ conservative/ Libertarian self.

It also got me thinking.

Maricopa County maybe, and Arizona most likely, will be the crossroads and the main battle line for any immigration reform.

Because, depending on who you listen to, the Federal Government is either considering a Jobs bill, or they are considering trying out some form of immigration reform.

Which, the latter, will likely involve some form of amnesty.

The purpose of this is wide and varied, but in short, I believe that it is to make us forget about Health Care.

But more importantly it is going to polarize the country, and leave the independents confused on where to go.  They cannot go to the liberals because they insist on taking away our freedoms, but the Conservatives and Libertarians are dirty racists, at least so we hear in the media,  and do not want immigration reform.

At least this is what I fear, as always this is just the beginning of this process, so we will have to wait and see, but we already know that the dialogue is that we are a bunch of racists.

We are just going to have to wait, and see, and hope I am wrong.

Oh those all important questions, those questions that lead one to determine, pretty much everything about you. There are few that are more important than these with what is going on in the political climate as of right now.

If you have listened to the Glenn Beck show his big question is who are you, something he asks during certain shows often.  One of his themes is remembering who we are, as a people, and mentions that theme during the song for his radio show.

In fact he asks it so often that I feel like I am listening to the inquisitor from the show Babylon 5.

While I acknowledge the importance and the vitality of the question, for me the issue should be what do you want.

The reasoning for this is that often people hide what they believe behind ideological labels, whether they do so intentionally, or because they are ignorant of the true tenets of those labels.

Well I am a Progressive but I think the government should stay out of our lives, well I am a Libertarian but I want a universal government-run healthcare system, oh I am a Conservative but I love abortions, and feel the government should provide them, oh I am a liberal but I do not think gays should be allowed to marry.

I know these are generalizations and probably are not always true, but the point is still valid.  That often ideologies do cloud things and get in the way of…well most things.

The more important question to me is: What do you want,  or more specifically what do you want to do to me?

That is the main issue.  What are you, in your belief system, going to do to me, or what are you going to do, on my behalf?

Oh I am a Conservative and I am for a National ID card.  ( 😉 )

Because other than that it does not matter who you are if your ideology does not match, and then you do something contrary to it.

Time and time again politicians have claimed that they are one thing on a campaign trail and then when they get elected change colors and bring out their true ideology.

Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, Conservatives, it does not matter, from a political perspective, at least so it seems for me.

Which is why at the end of the day we must constantly ask the question of what the politicians really want.  What are their real objectives, their real motivations, and what they want to do to us, no matter what they claim they are doing for us.

Otherwise we will be constantly disappointed, and worse.

We must constantly look at the facts as they are put before us.

Over the last week or so I have been hinting at, even going so far to say as I have flipped my political philosophy, that I can no longer consider myself a Conservative one hundred percent.

That is not to say that my ideals are not Conservative, and socially they still are.  That is not to say that any of my opinions have changed, simply because I switched.  And that is not to say that I am now a big government progressive that wants to eat babies and force you to give money to the poor, although charitable donations are part of the backbone of this country.

Recently I have been taking various political quizzes.  Now I do not hold one hundred percent stock in them, as ideology is from the heart and your own observations of the world order, and the results of ideologies that you believe have resulted from them,  yet when something like 6, 7, 8…12, of them say you are one thing, well that tends to indicate that you may in fact lean toward that specific ideology.

Then I did research for this blog, and whether or not I should write this blog the way I want to.   I did some research at Libertarianism.com, and the Advocates for Self Government.

While I do not agree with all of the positions espoused on the site, and while others make me uncomfortable, there are two things that really attract me to the movement.

That government (especially federal government) should provide for the common defense and ensure that no other citizen, or nation-state, violates our rights.  In its most basic that is all the federal government should do.

Secondly is the conversation about freedom, and liberty, and even though their positions on a variety of issues I consider to be wrong-headed and radical, and needing a lot more thought about them from me, I still admire them that they are willing to discuss about the liberty of individual people.

Also, that they trust people to live their own lives, and do anything with them that they will, without harming other people, to be refreshing.

Now that is not saying that other philosophies do not have this conversation, and do not have valid points to bring to the table.  That is not to say that conservatives lie about wanting a drastically smaller government.

I in fact believe that Conservatives and Libertarians, despite difference on policy, are natural allies.

I used to call myself a ‘Conservative that leaned libertarian’ and joked that ‘I am so Conservative that I am libertarian’.  But that no longer works for me.

On one of those political quizzes, the ‘Enhanced Political Precision Quiz…in 2D’ my dot was well into the libertarian corner, but I got the answer ‘Right leaning freedom lover’.

Never before has an answer on a political quiz made that much sense, or cleared thins up for me.  I am a Libertarian with Conservative leanings, I am pro life, I am against gays marrying, and I have a deep love and respect for local government and the free markets.  But on these opinions I recognize that other people do not share those views and we should allow for their freedom.

So the question boils down to what your individual priorities are, do you believe in the freedom of all to make their own choices, or do you think that their need to be government safe guards?

My answer is, and has always been, to err on the side of freedom.

Now this is a new experience for me.  And there are several positions I will need to take a long hard look at.  Keeping in mind the respect for others freedoms, and respect for other opinions.

I look forward to any help, any debate, or any conversation, from anyone on any political spectrum.

Over the past year…really over the past eight…there has been a growing feeling of unease and discontent with our ruling political elites, and most people believe that change is needed,  no matter who you talk with, no matter what their political stripes.

I think it is time to do something about this.  Because I for one am sick of not doing anything about it.  This blog was step one, and I still believe a good step that I will continue.

But now it seems as though this is no longer enough.

I think in the end what is required is to form a group.  it will be open to anyone who wants to join.

Because I cannot change anything by myself, no man can.

For my generation and future generations.  That we can no longer afford to let the world pass us by.

I invite and urge anyone to join me in this, anyone who has a concern about the future because of what our government and what our power elites are doing to us now.

That we need to think outside of the box to find the right solution.

To this end, on my fiftieth blog posting on WordPress, I am announcing the creation of a political group.

Its name; the game changers.

While this group is tailored especially for the younger generation, and while I consider myself a Conservative, this group is still open to all people from all political stripes and all countries, and all ages to join. Because while this is an American group, and American problems, people from all countries may have similar concerns.

Its goals will be two-fold:

For those of us who are conservative to find ways of explaining our beliefs and our positions and trying to battle the templates and clichés of what the big government elites claim we are.

And for those of us who are not conservative to approach with an open mind, and maybe learn something about a different perspective.

To try to change the debate and make it about issues, and not one’s templates of individuals.

Secondly, its purpose is to debate.  Any issue, any thing, any topic.

If you want a place where you can debate fellow Conservatives or Interested Parties, this will be the place for you.

As long as you approach it with a willingness to learn, and to approach every debate in a civil way.

To find the solutions to our common problems, and find ways to enact these solutions.

Solutions rooted in the Constitution, the American way, and above all freedom.

A case has been bought to federal court where two lawyers are representing couples who claim that their constitutional rights are being violated by California Proposition 8.

Marriage is not a right.

But that is hardly the point here, once again this represents something, something that will take blogs to cover, many.  Simply put we are fighting the wrong battle, we should focus our efforts on solving this problem another way.

One that can guarantee freedom because I do not care what you do in your bedroom, or what your deeply held beliefs on the matter are.  But this highlights a failure on our society to find solutions to our problems, now.

As for Harry Reid.

I do not like his comments.

They were certainly racial.

And there is an obvious double standard that exists here between a Democrat and a Republican.

But pointing this out is a dangerous road that we are  on, and unhelpful.

Especially on the part of all Republicans and Conservative commentators, coming out in unison and saying the same thing on this, or nearly so.

At such a crucial moment in this nations history with health care going and everyone having to bring their A game, one hundred percent, getting involved in a he said she said they said finger-pointing contest will not help anyone.  Especially since one day it is likely that the Liberals will find a way to use it against them in the future.

However, that is their right as they are separate and completely different personalities with their own voice and almost no affiliation or obligation to each other.

Finally Scott Brown.

Scott Brown represents a shift in politics.  People are tired and mistrustful of what is going on, and Scott Brown is representative of this fact.  Especially in the regards of the current health care bill that he is raging so much personally against.

I do not dispute that, but there is another angle to this.

It seems in all the, quite aptly named, attack ads run by the Democratic Campaign against Scott Brown, that they are appealing to imagery and just trying to rile up their base convincing them that Brown is evil.

They have shown the images of Republicans in Washington,

Rush Limbaugh,

Right Wing extremists, the tea party movement, that funds Sarah Palin.

And said he is against a woman’s right to choose.

This is the politics of 1984.  That is all I can say of this, all this does is appeal to a base and whip them up into a frenzy so that they fight against what they perceive as a threat.

Using Buzz words to win support of, well people they probably would have anyways.  That is if America really is changing.

They expect these people to represent the face of evil, Emanuel Goldstein to their Big Brother.

Refusing all the while to debate the issues and the facts, and just debate the character.

Though it amused me greatly that when they complained about the right wing extremists, the message was funded by SEIU.

Also, other than the blog I do have something to ask my regular readership.

Distributing these blogs on a day-to-day basis is getting a bit of a hassle for me.  I will still do them if that is what you want.

But I noticed when I was reading Aretoo’s last blog that you can subscribe to e-mail.

So I would like to know, on an individual basis, or by vote, whether you would like me to continue giving you updates, or to go to the e-mail alerts to when I get them.  I would greatly appreciate comments on this in the regular comments on this blog, and I hope to work this out with all of you.

Thanks.
